Extreme Robot Elimination Matches was an organization that held the initial stages of robot combat developed by Dr. Blood, until the matches proved too dangerous and thus were replaced with the Lunar League games.

Background

Unlike the Lunar League, robots used actual conventional weapons like the Ion Devastator 3000, rather than the non-fatal water rifles they use in the show. The robot which helped sway public opinion towards more peaceful matches was the Jango-3000, a bomb which looked like a mouse.
